Why work with me instead of the large tutoring chains?

The tutors at the large chains can be great! Or they cannot. The tutors often receive less than 25% of the fees, with the rest going to management, ownership, and big advertising budgets. Due to this, there's constant turnover, and some tutors' qualifications are questionable at best. Additionally, corporate tutoring isn't a realistic career, so it's generally a side gig.  

 

On the other hand, I've been a full-time tutor for 15 years. I don't follow a company playbook. I get to know the student and adjust the instruction to fit his or her learning style. Between sessions, I'll work on a personalized study guide or customize a worksheet to address any deficiencies found during the last meeting. If you have questions or want a progress report, you'll speak directly to me, not a company manager who's never met your child.
